I have learned that the format used to make Instagram reels so addictive is a short fast paced video that talks or films basic content that is hyped up by the creator to make the reel more entertaining. The producers of Instagram make an algorithm that tracks the videos you are interested in, allowing viewers to have a continuous stream of video they like.
- Justus Reid from Instagram
This creator uses short but informative clips on the renovation of his house to show, that everyone can do what he is doing and to shows how European countries differ from the US. Additionally, he shows the changes the house has goes through, past and present, photos, to show his progress. As well as introduces his community to the viewer to make the videos feel very comforting because of the sense of community.
- Abbott Elementary on Disney Plus
This show is a sitcom that shows the life of Elementary school teachers filmed and a documentary format, but similar to the office is made comedic. This show uses interview style clips to show the character feelings about a scene that took place. It also uses close ups on characters to gauge their reaction to comedic scenes to make the scene funnier. They show the normal problems of a teacher and make them funny through tropes of the clueless teacher, the old teacher, the cringe teacher, and the new teacher to allow the character to contrast each other naturally, making the scenes comedic.

This show is about an alien stuck on Earth who is forced to blend into human society, and learn to act human in order to complete his mission of destroying all life on Earth without being discovered as an alien, but her runs into many problems that cause him to stay longer. This show is a comedic paranormal TV show, that uses al lot of CGI and prosthetics to show the paranormal side of the show. Additionally, the show use the concept of a remote town to reduce the question of why the alien is able to blend in and also do weird alien things.
Alice in Borderland on Netflix

- This is an animated, steampunk action and adventure TV series that displays the relationship of two sisters and how their lives differ after an argument, as well as a failing society within a rich country. The animation has a lot of action sequences and in general amazing animation, the use different types of relationships to make the show feel inclusive of most of the population, like the LGBTQ community and disabled people.
- Smosh Games channel on Youtube
- This channel is a comedic groups games channel that showcase the members playing games. They use medium shots and various close ups to make the viewer feel as if the are also playing the game right next to the members.
- Wednesday on Netflix
- This well known TV show is a spinoff of the past Adams family focusing on the eldest daughter of the family. The producers uses black and gray tones to highlight the main character, showing her as montone, dark and somewhat evil, while contrasting her with a very colorful roommate that loves sparkles. This relationship allows the viewer to contrast the characters and their style, creating comedic scenes and conflict.
- Danganrompa 2, escape game
This game showcases an escape room allowing the game creator too use many insert shot, to hint the importance of an image or object. Additionally, the master shot allows the gamer to get a grasp of the entire room and understand the escape room better. The diagetic sound of Mono Kuma's talking gives off a very high pitched teasing voice used to annoy the gamer, adding to the feeling of being apart of the anime this game is based off of.
